Jonghyun has a heart that cries easily. He doesn't hold back, and his face is easily wet with tears. So when Onew tries to fight back the tears by smiling, painful, beautiful at the same time, Jonghyun feels as though he could cry instead. If he could cry and let Onew simply just smile.

"Onew hyung," Jonghyun calls softly, "it's difficult to smile when you want to cry. And I can, if you need me to, cry with you."

The welling tears give way but Onew's face remains smiling. He lets Jonghyun hug him.
